Swansea City will face Cardiff City in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup in April at Rodney Parade, as both sides progressed in the semi-finals on Sunday.
For the first time in eight years, The Swans advanced to the final stage of the competition, after a 6-0 win against Genero Adran South side Cwmbran Celtic at Jenner Park.
Stacey John put Swansea ahead with a backpost finish, after a cross into the area by Taite Trivett, before Aimee Deacon scored twice to make it three at the break.
Yzzy Taylor’s side were dominant in possession, but were lucky to escape their lead being cut in the first half after a Macey Morris effort would hit the bar, with the Cwmbran forward causing problems throughout the first period.
However, the second-half saw Swansea prove their quality. Taite Trivett fired home from a John cross, with John also scoring herself with 20 minutes to go. Emily Richards placed an effort into the bottom left corner to wrap up the scoring for the Genero Adran Premier side.

The Swans will face Cardiff City in the final, after The Bluebirds narrowly advanced past Wrexham at Park Avenue in a 2-1 win.
A goalless first-half, Mikayla Cook’s cross-shot found the top corner to give Cardiff the advantage with 20 minutes to play. Megan Bowen doubled the lead with a close-range finish.
With seconds to go, a ball into the area by Faye Knox went all the way into the back of the net to halve the deficit, but there wouldn’t be enough time for Wrexham to find a leveller. A key victory for Cardiff City, who respond to a difficult two weeks against The Red Dragons in League and Cup competition.
Connah’s Quay Nomads won a key battle at the top of the Genero Adran North, in a 3-2 win against Llanfair United.
Hannah Slack gave Nomads the advantage 20 minutes in, but was shown a red card shortly after. In almost a repeat of that, Tania Wylde levelled for Llanfair just after the break, but was also shown a red card minutes after.
Jord Parry’s side went back ahead after a ball into the area was deflected in off Llanfair’s Millie Evans with 20 minutes to go. Elana Harley’s close range effort would secure the three points for Connah’s Quay.
Harriet Davies responded late on for Llanfair but it wouldn’t be enough for the visitors, who remain in 3rd place.
Berriew won in another game that was a five-goal thriller, in a 3-2 win over Llandudno.
Regina Hanratty’s side were 3-0 up by the hour mark, with a brace from Dottie Evans and a Gemma Jones finish. Kelsey Davies and Jennifer Haynes hit back for Llandudno, but Berriew held on for a result which lifts them off the bottom of the Genero Adran North table.
Llangefni Town and Kinmel Bay both won as the North Wales Coast Llandudno Kia League title race looks set to go to the wire.
Current league leaders Kinmel were 3-1 winners against Caernarfon Town, with Lucy Perry putting the hosts ahead. Meleri Evans equalised for Caernarfon, but goals from Seren Williams and Jessica Nettleton secured a vital three points for Kinmel Bay.
On their travels to Lon Isallt, Llangefni continued the pressure on Kinmel with a 4-0 win against Trearddur Bay, with Dan Gregg’s side having two games in hand on a Kinmel Bay side that they remain one point behind.
Amber Brown scored a brace on Llangefni’s way to the win, whilst there were also finishes from Marissa George and Llinos Hughes, with the former setting up Hughes’s header for the final goal.
CPD Pwllheli were also back to winning ways in a 4-0 win against Denbigh Town, with a Lois Thomas brace and goals from Hayley Rees-Williams and Sian Moore, in what has been a much-improved second half to the season for last season’s North Wales League West champions.
2nd and 3rd both won in the Central Wales League North, in dominant displays by Airbus UK Broughton and Tregaron Turfs.
Llio Tanat and Lucy Osborne both scored hattricks on Tregaron’s way to victory against Buckley Town. Ffion Jones scored four goals, as Airbus beat 4th place Northop Hall 8-1.
Llanrumney United extended their lead at the top of SWWGL Combined to 17 points, after a 3-0 win away at Pontarddulais Town. Heather Wearmouth opened the scoring, both a Charley Hocking penalty and Jodie Newman finish rounded up the scoring.
Goytre AFC (Gwent) put six past 2nd placed Trefelin BGC to move up to 4th in the division. Amy Doswell and Brooke Mahoney both scored braces, with Emma Godman and Shauna Pentney also on the scoresheet.
Cambrian United has kept the pressure on at the top with a 6-1 win against Penclawdd AFC, which featured a Courtney Lewis hattrick having joined from Johnstown in the past few weeks. Sophie Whittle, Hazel Lockwood-Jones and Kelly Isaac also scored, to keep Cambrian’s promotion hopes alive.
Ammanford won a nine-goal thriller against Penydarren BGC in a game which saw a hattrick for a player in both teams. Penydarren captain Kate Allen completed the first, before Ammanford’s Meleri Owen also scored three.
Leah Williams scored Penydarren’s fourth, but goals Bronwyn Ridd and Rhian Evans secured a vital three points for Ammanford who continue to push for a high finish in the table.
Also pushing towards the top half are Johnstown, who beat Llanbradach 3-0 with several games in hand on the teams above. Mila Roberts, Lucy Bennett and Jessica Davies all scored in that matchup.
Results in SWWGL Division One went the way of Undy AFC, who have five games in hand to make up a five-point gap on Cardiff Wanderers.
That comes after a 5-1 win against Tredegar Town AFC. Dani Buckland scored a brace, whilst Sarah Bailey, Libby Brooks, and recent signing Ella Voyce were all on the scoresheet.
League leaders Wanderers were held to a goalless draw by placed Coed Duon, who move up to 4th with the points. Elsewhere in Division One, there was a 4-1 win for Porth Harlequins BGC, with Claire Lewis scoring a hattrick, and a win for Abertillery Belles, with Llantwit Fardre also staying in the title race with a 3-1 against Talgarth Town.
Kim Joseph-Alexander scored four goals in Llangynwyd Rangers’ 8-1 win against Treorchy BGC, to keep the Bridgend-based side in the Division Two title race.
Courtney Howells, Cathy Bastian, Demi Hurley and Olivia Owen also scored on their way to the win, with Stacey Harries replying for Treorchy.
Chloe Brown scored twice as league leaders North Cardiff Cosmos (Blue) beat Wattsville 5-1 to remain top of the table.
Cosmos midfielder and captain Ellie Harris opened the scoring, whilst there were also goals for Nia Thomas and Lillie Hexter.
Croesyceliog AFC and Caerphilly Dragons couldn’t be separated in a top half clash in a 1-1 draw, and elsewhere in Division Two there were wins for Goytre AFC (Gwent) Development, Penywaun and Rogerstone AFC.
In Division Three, a late winner from Yasmin Sellers ensured 2nd place Ponthir AFC continue their bid for the title in a 4-3 win against Canton.
Current league leaders Graig Villa Dino also won, whilst there were also wins for Aberfan, Broadlands AFC and Taffs Well Development.
Lots of goals in Division One of the Perago West Wales League last weekend, which saw Skewen beat Bonymaen Colts AFC 9-4 at Skewen Park.
Cara Martin scored six goals on Skewen’s way to victory, with Ashley Thomas also scoring a hattrick, as they look to push into the top four with their games in hand.
Hattricks from Kayla Jones, Jasmine Thomas, Ffion Kirk and Freya Marshall saw Haverfordwest County AFC return to winning ways against Taylcopa, whilst 2nd placed Mumbles Rangers won 5-0 against Burry Port.
Clydach jumped above Burry Port, with a 2-1 win against Morriston Town AFC. Lotte Hardwicke gave Morriston the lead, before Ellie Dingwall and Chelsea James turned the game around for a Clydach side who move up to 3rd.
Rockspur Fords’ gap at the top of Division Two has extended to six points after their 3-1 win against Penclawdd AFC Seconds, with 2nd placed Resolven AFC drawing 5-5 with Pontarddulais Town Development. There were also wins for Tumble United and Ystradgynlais AFC.
A top of the table clash in the Pembrokeshire Women’s League saw St Dogmaels come out 2-1 winners against Clarbetson Road AFC. Sina Rapthel gave the hosts the lead, before Clarbeston equalised through Laura Edwards.
Katie Proven scored just before the interval, in what would be the winner for St Dogmaels, who go top of the table. Elsewhere, Goodwick United were 5-0 winners against Kilgetty AFC.
