Two matchdays remain in Phase One of the Genero Adran Premier season, as the title race and top four race continues to heat up as we approach the split in the top flight.
Key battle in the Genero Adran North and South coming up tomorrow, and two big fixtures in the context of the title race to be played in the South Wales Women’s and Girls League Combined, and the Perago West Wales Women’s League Division A.
There’s also action in the North Wales Coast Llandudno Kia Women’s League, Central Wales League North and the Tlysau Tanygroes Ceredigion Ladies League.

Genero Adran Premier
All games are 5:10pm kickoffs on Sunday, as the Genero Adran Premier season approaches the Phase Two split.
League leaders Cardiff City host bottom side Pontypridd United at the Cardiff International Sports Stadium, as Iain Darbyshire’s side look to head into Phase Two top of the league.
A 4-1 win against Briton Ferry Llansawel in their game in hand saw The Bluebirds return to the top, taking the place of Wrexham AFC.
Following this, a 3-0 win in the Genero Adran Trophy against The New Saints means City are in the final competition, and will face Wrexham in February at the Bangor City Stadium. Madison Lloyd scored twice, and Mackenzie Olden was also on the scoresheet, as Cardiff City advanced in the competition.
January has seen two of Pontypridd United’s star performers return to Cardiff City after spells at the USW Sports Park in the first half of the campaign.

Lloyd and Seren Thomas both signed Semi-Professional contracts with the club shortly after returning to the Genero Adran Premier champions.
Pontypridd last played three weeks ago in a 4-1 defeat to Barry, and will be in search of their first points of the season in the remaining games of the campaign.
They also have made a signing of their own, with Lucy Malin coming the other way from Cardiff City to add to their attacking ranks.
2nd placed Wrexham play their second fixture with Briton Ferry Llansawel in the space of a week, having progressed past Ferry in the Genero Adran Trophy Semi-Finals last week.
Faye Knox scored a hatrrick in a dominant display, whilst Rosie Hughes scored twice and Jodie Bartle was also on the scoresheet in a 6-0 win for Wrexham.
The Red Dragons will be looking for a repeat of that outcome, and will be boosted by the recent signing of former Northern Ireland U19s defender Mikayla Wildgoose, who joined from Derby County on Friday evening.
Briton Ferry have also strengthened defensively, with the loan signing of Caitlin Seaborne from Swansea City, until the end of the season.
With just one point between Cardiff and Wrexham in the title race, and 8 games remaining, every game becomes a must win for both sides at this stage of the campaign.
Whilst it looks like a two-horse race for the league title, Swansea City do still have an outside chance of pushing for 1st spot. They host Barry Town United at the Swansea.com Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Swans are back on track in the league after a 3-0 midweek win against TNS last week. Aimee Deacon, Chloe Chivers and Ellie Lake were all on the scoresheet in that game.
They face a Barry side who they beat 4-0 earlier on in the season, but a Barry side who have been busy in the transfer window.
Having lost Angharad Beman and Holly Jenkins to FA Women’s National League side Keynsham Town, James Fishlock has recruited in the central defensive role. Izzy Caunt and Holly Jones have joined the club, arriving from Gwalia United and Cardiff City respectively.
Anya Grunewald and Lauren Payne have also joined The Linnets from Briton Ferry, in what could be a new-look Barry side against Swansea.

The New Saints host Aberystwyth Town in a game which could yet again be key in the race for the top four.
With The Seasiders still having a mathematical chance of top four, TNS will have to be at their best to beat a side that they lost to earlier in the season.
A first-half Shauna Chambers strike would be enough for all three points back in September for Rhys Jon James’ side, who equalised late on against Briton Ferry during the week, via a brilliant free-kick from Rebecca Mathias.
New TNS boss Kieran-Lee Birch is still in search of a first win, with defeats against Cardiff City and Swansea City in recent weeks. They currently have the advantage for top four, but that could change very quickly.
Genero Adran North
Flint Town United are on a winless run of late, and host CPDM Y Felinheli in the hope that they can end that, who are also in search of a first win in 2026.
A 5-1 defeat to Llanfair United had followed a 2-2 draw with Felinheli away from home, having been 2-0 up in the game.
Ruby Hastings and Rosie Hughes gave Flint the lead that day at Treborth 3G, but a free-kick from Llywela Edwards and a late equaliser from Katie Midwinter meant both sides took a point from the game.
Llanfair have a chance to close the gap between themselves and league leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads on Sunday, as they travel to Llandudno.
With Nomads the side who are not playing this week, a win for Llanfair would see them go three points behind Connah’s Quay in the Genero Adran North.
Llandudno can go up to 3rd with a win. They come into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw with CPDM Bangor.
Sunday’s game between Berriew and CPDM Bangor has been postponed.
Genero Adran South
After defeat to Pure Swansea last week, Penybont travel to Cardiff looking to get back to winning ways, albeit a huge task ahead for the travelling Bont.
This will be Cardiff Met’s first game of 2026 after their fixture last week was postponed, and for Jon Nash’s side, this is a chance to extend their winning run to four matches in all competitions.
An action-packed game las time this fixture was played in October. Molly Chapman gave Met the lead before Maddie Priday equalised, with the game going in at halftime 1-1.
Celyn Garton put Met back ahead on the hour mark, and from then on the goals started flying in. Anna Houghton made it three for Met, then Niamh Terry put Penybont back in the game immediately after.
However, an own goal and a Demi Parry strike ensured the league leaders claimed all three points that day, and they’ll be looking for the same outcome on Sunday.
A first league win for Cascade YC last week, and they’ll be aiming to take that momentum in their latest clash with title chasing Carmarthen Town.
Goals from Ellis Lunn and Annaliese Lewis saw Cascade pickup their first points in the league this season, as they push to rescue themselves from a difficult position at the bottom.
They face a Carmarthen side level on points joint on points with two other teams at the top.
Finishes from Aimee Heath and Summer Evans secured a 2-0 win for The Old Gold at Taffs Well last week.

The other side joint at the top of the table is Pure Swansea, who host Llanelli at Swansea University Sports Centre.
Chris Church’s side responded well two tough results against Cwmbran Celtic and Briton Ferry Llansawel, with a 3-1 win against Penybont.
Annabel Stoke gave Pure Swansea the lead in that game, and further goals from Charley Haynes and a first Genero Adran Leagues goal for Kalena Walters-Wright, cemented the three points for the side in 2nd.
Sunday’s game between Cwmbran Celtic and Taffs Well has been postponed.
Key Battles Outside the Genero Adran Leagues
A major game in the South Wales Women’s and Girls League Combined, as 2nd place Trefelin BGC travel to league leaders Llanrumney United, looking to close the gap at the top.
Catherine Walsh’s Llanrumney side have been runaway leaders this season, winning 12 game from 12 matches. Several teams remain in the race for the title, but they’ve made their ambitions clear.
A race for the Genero Adran Leagues, and Trefelin BGC are also hopeful of achieving promotion to tier two this season. The last meeting between these two sides in November was a very close encounter.
Lauren Amor and Coryn Sexton gave Trefelin a 2-0 lead just 12 minutes in. Pippa Smith responded for Llanrumney soon after, before Zoe Atkins equalised just after halftime.
It looked as though it would be the first dropped points of the season for Llanrumney, but a last minute winner from Rosina Hill ensured they continued an incredible winning run, in a 3-2 win away from home.
A top of the table clash in the Perago West Wales Women’s League Division A, as unbeaten Haverfordwest County AFC face current league leaders Mumbles Rangers.
Haverfordwest have two games in hand on their opponents, and have spent most of the season on top in Division A. However, some impressive results in recent weeks from Mumbles means they’ve kept the pressure on.
The last battle between these two sides in November had a close first-half, but less of a contest in the second. Kayla Jones gave Haverfordwest an early lead, before Mumbles Rangers immediately equalised through Natasha Trotman.
1-1 at halftime, but The Bluebirds took control in the second period. Jones completed her hattrick just after the hour mark, before Ffion Kirk scored two late on to secure the win for County.
After confusion in last week’s original fixture, Llangefni Town and NFA will do it all again in the North Wales Coast Llandudno Kia Women’s League Cup Quarter-Finals
Llangefni won the tie after extra-time in a 2-1 win, with Ellie Coulson scoring the winner, but with the game meant to go straight to penalties, the two sides will meet again on Sunday afternoon.
In the Central Wales League North, Wrexham Foresters will be aiming to extend their winning run at the top of the league, when they travel to 3rd place Northop Hall.
This will be the first encounter between the two sides, with Foresters coming into the game on the back of a 7-0 win against Coedpoeth United.
Northop Hall will be looking to respond after a 5-2 defeat last time out against 2nd place Tregaron Turfs.
