Genero Adran North side CPDM Y Felinheli have appointed Aron Griffith into their coaching team, as they strengthen off the pitch ahead of what is set to be a highly competitive 2026/27 campaign.
Griffith joins Felinheli after departing Bangor City 1876 in recent weeks, having spent six years at his previous club. He joined the initial CPDM Bangor in 2020, after a spell with Llanberis.
Well-respected in the North Wales football scene, the 28-year-old led Bangor to promotion to the Genero Adran North in 2023, after winning the North Wales Football League.
A new chapter with CPDM Y Felinheli awaits, at Aaron Jones-Evans’ side look to improve on a 4th placed finish last season, whilst building on cup success having beaten CPDM Bangor in the final of the North Wales Coast FA Challenge Cup in April.
Griffith told Cymru Sport on joining Felinheli: “I’m extremely grateful to be joining CPD Merched Y Felinheli. As a local lad who lives close to Felin it was a great opportunity.
“Knowing Aaron (Jones-Evans) over the years of playing against each other, I believe we’ll work great with each other. We want to keep getting the best out of the girls as they have done for several seasons now.

“I’ve been to a few sessions now and the girls have welcomed me in straight away. They’re a great bunch of girls with several talented players there, and I’m looking forward for the season ahead.”
CPDM Y Felinheli told Cymru Sport: “The club are delighted that Aron has chosen to come on board at Felinheli!
“Aron brings with him a wealth of experience and a great outlook on the game. Us as a club, players and coaches alike have always had the utmost respect for Aron for the way he carries himself and the positive way he represents the clubs he has been affiliated with.
“We look forward to sharing our vision with Aron and also hearing his philosophy and the way he sees the game, football is a game of opinions and we can safely say that our opinions align when it comes to women’s football.
“The squad have already met Aron and he has a training session under his belt and the women couldn’t be happier. We are all delighted with the acquisition and can’t wait to get started.”
CPDM Y Felinheli will kick-off their season with the opening group stage game of the Genero Adran Trophy on Sunday 6th September, before the Genero Adran North season begins on Sunday 27th September.
