Genero Adran Premier side Pontypridd United have completed the signing of forward Lucy Malin from Cardiff City, with the view of returning to The Bluebirds at the end of the season.
Primarily a winger, Malin has been at Cardiff City since 2022, having joined from Treowen Stars AFC.
Developing through from their U16s to a regular feature in The Bluebirds’ matchday squad, she’s made five appearance in all senior competitions so far this campaign, scoring twice in those games.
Known for her high speed and dribbling ability, she made her senior Cardiff City debut in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup in October 2024 as a second-half subtitute against Penclawdd AFC. She went onto score in that game, whilst also setting up a Paige Parsons goal.

Highly-rated within the Cardiff City camp, she’s been key to the success of their U19s in recent seasons, and was top of the tally for assists in the 2023/24 season.
Malin helped City’s U19s win the Genero Adran U19s League last season, beating Wrexham in the playoff final, and leaves Cardiff having also played a key role in their U19s campaign this season with eleven goal contributions in seven games.
She joins a Pontypridd United side struggling at the bottom of the Genero Adran Premier table, and in search of their first points of the league campaign.
The Dragons face Cardiff City and The New Saints in their remaining two games before the Phase Two split.
