Genero Adran Premier side Briton Ferry Llansawel have appointed former Manager Rhys James as Interim boss until the end of the season.
The announcement comes after Rhys Thomas stepped down from his position yesterday after nine months in charge.
James returns to Ferry having been Women’s First Team Manager between 2022 and 2025, having originally been assistant manager of the side. He has also had a spell coaching in the Welsh Premier Women’s League with Cyncoed.
James led Ferry to promotion to the Genero Adran Premier, finishing 2nd in their first season back in the top flight last campaign.
He returned to the club as Head of Academy and Football Operations last year, but will now step back into the Women’s First Team until the end of the season.
Briton Ferry said on the appointment: “Briton Ferry Llansawel is pleased to announce the return of former manager Rhys James as Women’s First Team manager on an interim basis until the end of the season.
“The club will now undertake a formal recruitment process to identify a new Manager for the 26/27 Season.”
Briton Ferry Llansawel are currently 5th in the Genero Adran Premier after 13 games played, and will compete in the Plate Conference in Phase Two after missing out on the top four last weekend. They face Swansea City in the final game of Phase One on Sunday.
