Gwalia United forward Casi Gregson has left the FA Women’s National League side, with the Cymru U19 international moving onto the next chapter of her career.
Gregson made 37 appearances for Gwalia, scoring 8 times. Whilst it’s been a disappointing season for the club, currently sat in the relegation zone of the FAWNL Southern Premier Division, it’s been a positive season for the Ceredigion-born Gregson.
The 18-year-old scored in her final game for Gwalia United, in a defeat to Exeter City.
The striker started in her youth with local side Lampeter Town AFC, before progressing through the FAW Girls Academy South. In 2022 she was called up to Cymru U17s, before an U19s call up followed in 2025. Gregson has made 4 appearances for Nia Davies’ U19s side so far.
Cymru Sport understands there is growing interest in Gregson, with a move abroad looking increasingly likely. Several players from Cymru have made the move to the United States to develop their career, with Cymru boss Rhian Wilkinson recently suggesting players should move abroad for further opportunities.
Writing on social media, Gregson said: “Diolch, Gwalia United. A club that shaped me, teammates who became sisters, and moments I’ll never forget. Wouldn’t be here without the sacrifices my parents made for me.
“End of a chapter. It’s been a pleasure. Looking forward to what comes next.”
