Cymru Sport is delighted to announce a kit sponsorship with Flint Town United, continuing our commitment to women’s football in Cymru both on and off the pitch.
Finishing 3rd in the Genero Adran North last season, Flint Town United, also known as The Silkwomen, formed the women’s team in 2022. Under the leadership of Elliott Hale, Flint were promoted to the Genero Adran Leagues for the first time after winning the North Wales Women’s League East in 2024.
Comfortably avoiding any danger of a drop back to tier three, Flint finished 5th in their debut tier two campaign. In 2025/26, a mid-season managerial change saw midfielder Rebecca Eagles take the reigns as player-manager. An incredible run of form after her appointment saw Flint defeated just once in their final six games of the campaign, finishing behind 2nd place Llanfair United only on goal difference.
National recognition also went the way of Flint last season, with long-serving attacking midfielder Rosie Hughes winning the Genero Adran North Young Player of the Season award at the FAW National Leagues Awards.

A closely-connected group off the pitch, with several inspirational stories amongst Flint Town United, the club continue to improve their opportunities for women’s and girls at the football club. Last season, Flint had an U17s side competing in the North East Wales Girls League, with two members of that squad, Neve Richards and Olivia England, earning first team callups ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Alongside the already thriving U17s side, Flint have also added an U13s and U14s side for the upcoming campaign, further stating their commitment to women’s and girls football in North Wales.
Our own commitment to women’s and girls’ football in Cymru aligns with that of Flint Town United, and having only experienced positive encounters and visits with those at the football club, we’re incredibly excited to be sponsoring the team ahead of another challenging yet ambitious campaign.
Keep a lookout on our social media accounts in the coming months for further announcements alongside other football clubs across the country ahead of 2026/27!
