Sunday’s fixture between The New Saints and Pontypridd United has been postponed, as has the Championship Conference fixture between Aberystwyth Town and Cardiff Met on Friday night.
With Met not playing, that presents an opportunity for Swansea City to extend their lead at the top. Richard Harris’ side face Penybont tonight at Llandarcy.
Swansea went top last week after they beat Cascade 6-0. Lowri Jones scored a hattrick, whilst there were also finishes from Ellie Gibbins, Susanna Cunningham and Megan-Ruby Clarke.
Top spot was opened up after Met’s defeat to Taffs Well, who put on a brilliant display at Cyncoed Stadium last week.
Rianne Jones scored a hattrick, whilst Alys Grant was also on the scoresheet, as The Wellwomen move up to 4th.
For Swansea City, that Cascade victory wasn’t their most recent fixture. The Young Swans progressed to the Semi-Finals of the West Wales Challenge Cup on Sunday, in a 3-0 win against SWWGL side Johnstown.
Katie Rowles scored twice on their way to the last four, before Grace Tilley rounded off the scoring in a successful week for the U19s.
Cascade will be looking to return to winning ways when they travel to Llanelli Town AFC on Friday night. Llanelli haven’t played since their 4-2 defeat to Swansea, a game they were leading in.
