Aberystwyth Town confirmed their spot in next season’s Genero Adran Premier after a 5-0 win against Pontypridd United, a result which saw The Dragons return to the second tier.
The Seasiders were two ahead inside 25 minutes after a brace from Amy Jenkins, a week after the Aberystwyth was a stand-in goalkeeper against Barry Town United. After firing home from a Shauna Chambers corner, Jenkins was also on the end of a Rebecca Mathias free-kick, to make it two.
It was three before the break. After setting up Jenkins’ second goal, Mathias was on the end of a Chambers corner, heading home to put Aber in control at USW Sports Park.
Ten minutes into the second half, Dani Mawle scored her first Genero Adran Leagues goal to make it four. Millie Gardner wrapped up the scoring with ten minutes to play, with 16-year-old winger Sioned Kersey setting up both of those goals.
The fixture also saw several debuts, with Aber’s Hannah Phillips-Jones and Ponty’s Gwenllian Crane making their senior football debuts. Paige Ward and Lydia Earles also featured for the first time since rejoining Pontypridd United.
The other game in the Plate saw a close-encounter between Briton Ferry Llansawel and Barry Town United, with Erin Murray’s second-half penalty claiming a point for the travelling Linnets.
Maia Owen gave Ferry the lead just before the break with a strike on the edge of the area, as Rhys James’ side remain top of the Plate group in the Genero Adran Premier.
Four incredible goals from Chloe Chivers helped Swansea City on their way to a 5-2 win against The New Saints at Park Hall, with the forward completing a hattrick in the first half.
Chivers opened the scoring from a free-kick slightly to the right, with her effort hitting the crossbar on its way in to put the Swans ahead. Tiggy Webb equalised shortly after for TNS from a Kelsey Richardson corner, taking the central defender’s tally up to seven in all competitions for the campaign.
The Swans went back ahead midway through the half, and it was very similar from Chivers. A well hit free-kick, this time a bit more to the left, rapidly changed direction on its way past Orla Howard. Another incredible finish, and a day where former Wales youth international Howard was up against a top-form Chivers.
After a pass from Caitlin Williams into the middle, Chivers fired from distance, this time with her left foot, which went all the way into the back of the net, to make it 3-1.
Chantelle Teare hit back early in the second half to reduce the deficit after a good run towards goal, but it wouldn’t be enough for TNS. Eilish Mitchell scored Swansea’s fourth with ten minutes to play, which was set up by Chivers, before Chivers scored her fourth and Swansea’s fifth, after cutting inside from the right to place a left-footed effort into the top-left corner.
The fixture also saw a return to senior action for Monet Legall, her first appearance since returning to Swansea City following her pregnancy.
On Saturday, Wrexham AFC scored three goals in the second-half in a statement win at the Cardiff City Stadium against The Bluebirds.
Goalless at the break, a curling effort from outside the area by Faye Knox put The Red Dragons ahead in the capital, in front of a crowd of 1,163.
Cardiff levelled after Wrexham failed to clear a cross into the area, with Mackenzie Olden firing home at the back post to make it 1-1.
However, Katie Barker would once again have a say, and it was a significant one. The league’s top scorer put Wrexham back ahead with 12 minutes to play, before calmly firing home a penalty to secure a vital result for Wrexham in the title race.
Cascade YC are all but mathematically safe from early season fears of relegation, after a crucial 2-1 win away to Llanelli Town AFC, which bar an incredible goal-swing will see Cascade play in the Genero Adran South again next season.
Ellis Lunn continued her impressive season to put the away side in front ten minutes in. A good ball through from Iris Jones found Lunn, who fired home.
Advantage Cascade, but they were down to ten at halftime, after Daisy Evan-Watkins was shown a red card. Midway through the second-half, Llanelli would capitalise, with Ffion Varney scoring from the penalty spot to level the game.
Just three minutes after the leveller, Cascade went back ahead in what would be the winning goal from Chrystalla Moreton. A season-defining win for Cascade, but a defeat for Llanelli which leaves their battle towards the bottom with Taffs Well wide open.
Taffs Well did not play on Sunday, after their game with Cardiff Met was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, which means The Wellwomen now have two games in hand on Llanelli, one of those coming up against Cwmbran Celtic on Wednesday 4th March.
Bute Energy Welsh Cup Semi-Finalists Cwmbran started a huge seven days in impressive fashion, in a 3-1 win against Pure Swansea.
Cerys Shipley found the opener inside 20 minutes to put Georgia Shwartz’ side ahead at halftime. A dramatic ending to the game, which saw Annabel Stokes equalise for the visitors with four minutes to play.
However, Cwmbran continued to battle for all three points, and after goals from Casey Daniels and Macey Morris, would wrap up all three points at Avondale Motor Park Arena.
Carmarthen Town capitalised on Pure Swansea’s result, as they beat Penybont 2-0 at the LHP Stadium go level on points with the Swans.
Flavia Jenkins gave Carmarthen the lead just before the break, set up by younger sister Ophelia Jenkins. Evie Jones scored her first senior goal to wrap up the game in the final moments, to go three points behind league leaders Met.
CPDM Y Felinheli put six past CPDM Bangor in the Genero Adran North on Sunday, at Bangor University’s Treborth 3G.
Two free-kicks from Llywela Edwards saw Felinheli take a 2-0 lead going into halftime, before early second-half finishes from Jenna Tugwell-Allsup and Katie Midwinter made it four for the hosts.
Catrin Evans added her name to the scoresheet just after the hour mark, before Midwinter scored again to wrap up a perfect performance from Aaron Jones-Evans’ side. The fixture also saw Jody Cain return to action for Felinheli, having been out of action since August with an injury.
Flint Town United move up to 2nd in the league with a 2-0 win against Berriew, which continues Rebecca Eagles’ winning start to her managerial spell at the club.
Beth Roberts put Flint ahead after a good press in the area by the forward, in a game which also saw an impressive defensively display by Flint, with Shona Roberts making the Genero Adran Leagues Team of the Week.
A left-footed strike by Shannon Hobbs just after the hour mark secured the three points for Flint, a fourth game in the row where Hobbs has found the back of the net.
Genero Adran North side Llanfair United were in Cup action this week, as the reigning CWFA Cup champions made the final again with a 4-0 win against tier three Llanidloes Town.
All four goals came in the second half, with Tania Wylde putting Llanfair ahead in the 57th minute at KVM Park.
Emma Williams scored two quickfire goals with 20 minutes to play, before Wylde also scored a second, to ensure Llanfair have the chance to reclaim to CWFA Cup title against Tregaron Turfs.
Llio Tanat scored the winner for Tregaron in their 1-0 semi-final win against Lampeter Town AFC, which means they’ll have the opportunity to win the competition for the first time when they face Llanfair in the final.
Elsewhere in Central Wales, Northop Hall have moved up to 4th in the Central Wales League North with a 4-0 win against Newtown AFC. Tyler Price scored a brace on their way to victory, whilst there were also goals from Olivia Davies and Taylor Roberts.
Buckley Town recorded their second win since forming in the summer, in a 4-0 win against Welshpool Town. Danielle Jones, Bethan Hughes and Millie Robinson all scored in the first 20 minutes, before Hughes scored a second from the spot to wrap up the win, taking Buckley up to seven points.
Kelly Isaac scored twice as Cambrian United won a key battle at the top of South Wales Women’s and Girls League Combined against Trefelin BGC.
Sarah Adams replied for the visitors, but Cambrian continue the pressure at the top with a 2-1 win, with five games in hand on current league leaders Llanrumney United.
Goytre AFC (Gwent) and Penydarren BGC also won to ensure they kept their strong positions in the top half intact, whilst a winner from Eloise Jenkins saw Johnstown AFC come out on top in a five-goal thriller against Llanbradach AFC.
In Division One, Cardiff Wanderers extended their lead at the top with a 7-0 win against Pontypridd AFC, whilst a last minute equaliser from Evie Henshaw ensured 3rd placed Llantwit Fardre continued their unbeaten start to their league games in 2026, in a 3-3 draw against Nantyglo.
The top three in the SWWGL Division Two all won, as North Cardiff Cosmos Blue, AFC Llwydcoed and Llangynwyd Rangers all continue their bid for tier four football. Cosmos win against Treorchy BGC saw a second half hattrick for Chloe Brown.
North Cardiff Cosmos Red win against Broadlands AFC was the highlight in Division Three, in a 8-6 win with four goals from Anna Richards.
A last minute equaliser from Erin Frost saw Haverfordwest County AFC avoid their first league defeat of the season in the Perago West Wales Women’s League Division One, in a 2-2 draw against a Burry Port side who pushed the league leaders all the way.
Ffion Kirk put The Bluebirds ahead at Ogi Bridge Meadow Stadium, before Marissa Gower’s long-range effort levelled the game for the visitors.
Rhian Jenkins gave Burry Port the lead with ten minutes to go, but a bottom-corner finish from Frost with just seconds to play meant the two sides couldn’t be separated.
Skewen were victorious against Morriston Town in the other game in Division One, with Ashley Thomas and Cara Martin both netting hattricks.
In Division Two, Rockspur beat Cwmamman United AFC 2-0 in a key clash towards the top, with strikes from Donna Morgan and Victoria Wilcox.
Resolven AFC kept the pressure on Rockspur with a 5-1 win, whilst there were also wins for Tumble United AFC and Drefach.
