Swansea City, Wrexham AFC and Cardiff City all progressed to the semi-final stage of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup after progressing in the competition on Sunday afternoon.
Yzzy Taylor’s side were 2-0 up by halftime against Genero Adran North side Llandudno after goals from Jess Williams and Maisie Miller. A finish from Taite Trivett early in the second half, followed by an own goal, doubled the advantage.
Trivett scored a second before Maddy Murray also added her name to the scoresheet, as Swansea progress to the semi-finals in style with a 6-0 win.
They will face the winner of Cwmbran Celtic and Briton Ferry Llansawel in the last four, with that game postponed at the weekend due to a waterlogged pitch.
Current holders Cardiff City made it through to the semi-finals after beating The New Saints 3-0, in the only all-Genero Adran Premier tie of the quarter-finals.
Ffion Price was central to their progression in the competition, with set-pieces continuing to be a strength for The Bluebirds. A corner from the full-back three minutes in went all the way into the back of the net to put City ahead.
However, most of the action would come inside the final 30 minutes of the game, with The New Saints having a chance to equalise. A miss-timed challenge from Shannon Evans on Caitlin Chapman meant TNS were awarded a penalty kick.
Lia Lewis stepped up to take it, but would put it narrowly wide of the bottom corner. A let off for Cardiff in the game.
Ten minutes later, The Bluebirds would extend their advantage, again from a Ffion Price corner. This time from the right, a floated cross into the back post was headed home by Nieve Jenkins.
Laura Curnock rounded off the win just seconds after Jenkins’ goal. Good work from Maddison Perrott on the byline allowed the winger to play a pass into Curnock, who placed over Orla Howard to ensure Cardiff advanced.
The Bluebirds will face Wrexham in the semi-finals, after The Red Dragons completed a 5-0 win against Genero Adran South promotion chasers Carmarthen Town.
Faye Knox headed home from an Ava Suckley cross to put Wrexham ahead with 13 minutes played. Further goals from Katie Barker and Suckley made it 3-0 at the break.
Despite a battling defensive display from The Old Gold, Wrexham’s quality shone through. Suckley and Knox both scored a second, which would see Jenny Sugarman’s side through to the last four.
Those semi-final ties in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup are set to be played on Sunday 8th March.

There was a game in the Genero Adran North, as CPDM Y Felinheli claimed their first win since October, in a 4-0 victory over Berriew.
Rubie Davies scored a hattrick on Felinheli’s way, whilst Catrin Evans also scored for the hosts, who stay in 4th on nine points.
In tier three, Llanidloes Town secured a second win in a row in the Central Wales North League, having won their first league game of the season last time out.
Four goals were scored by former Aberystwyth Town striker Naomi Evans, as Llanidloes put 12 past Berriew Development. Abbie Regan also scored a hattrick, Phoebe Short and Alexandra George scored twice, with Bethan Williams also on the scoresheet.
Llanidloes move up to 7th with the win. In the other game in the league on Sunday, Kimberley Pugh scored an equaliser for Coedpoeth United after Taylah Bean’s opener for Newtown, in a 1-1 draw.
CPD Merched Henllan won a league game in the North Wales Coast Llandudno Kia Women’s League for the first time since early November, in 1-0 win against CPDM Llanystumdwy. An early goal from Elin Griffith decided the game.
NFA and Llangefni also won to increase their points tally towards to the top of the league, with the latter going back level on points with current league leaders Kinmel Bay.
A second half goal from Heather Wearmouth saw Llanrumney United narrowly beat Goytre AFC (Gwent) 1-0 in the South Wales Women’s and Girls League Combined, which makes it 14 wins from 14 games for Catherine Walsh’s side.
Trefelin BGC also won to keep the pressure on at the top, with a 4-2 victory over Penclawdd AFC, which saw Becca Rees and Charlotte Phillips score braces.
Cardiff Wanderers beat Porth Harlequins 2-0 in Division One, to extend their lead at the top of the league. Jess Byron-Dyer and Sian Rees scored to secure the three points. There were also wins for Talgarth Town, Coed Duon and Tredegar Town
In Division Town, AFC Llwydcoed won 4-1 against Croesyceiliog AFC, to go level on points with North Cardiff Cosmos at the top, whilst in Division Three Graig Villa Dino extended their lead at the top with a 7-1 win against Aberfan.
Skewen and Bryncoch played out a 12-goal thriller in the Perago West Wales League Division One, which saw Skewen come out 7-5 winners. The game also saw 17-year-old Ellie Gooby scored four goals for Bryncoch.
The other game in the division saw Clydach beat Burry Port 3-1 in a top half clash, which saw Clydach move up to 3rd.
