Barry Town United’s Anya Grunewald and Briton Ferry Llansawel’s Maizie Stiens have been called up to the latest Cymru WU17s squad, for the upcoming UEFA WU17s Euro Qualifying matches. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U17s boss Natalie Lawrence has called up the duo, who play their club football in the Welsh domestic leagues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midfielder Anya Grunewald joined Barry in January from Briton Ferry, and regularly features for The Linnets in the Genero Adran Premier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14-year-old forward Maizie Stiens plays in the FAW National Academi South U14s League for Briton Ferry Llansawel, having also featured for the U16s Girls side in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup, scoring against Llandudno in December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formerly of Porth Harlequins BGC youth, Grunewald has been involved with the U17s side since October 2024. For Stiens, this will be her first involvement in an U17s camp, having recently been called up for Cymru U16s alongside a number of other upcoming players in the domestic game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All three of their fixtures during the camp will be played in South Wales, against Netherlands, Poland and Slovakia, in Round Two of Group A. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
