Now top of the Perago West Wales Women&#8217;s League, led by Mikey Loveridge, Haverfordwest County AFC are looking to take this project beyond tier four &#8211; all the way to the Genero Adran Leagues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;18 months ago, we started our female provision. We had girls within the boys academy, but we didn&#8217;t have our own female provision,&#8221;<\/em> Loveridge explained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;We had an FAW Development Centre where we could arrange friendlies, which we did and we went all across Wales and performed very well. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;I learned very quickly that we had talented players within Pembrokeshire, and after that successful season we got given academi status this season.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to have been awarded a FAW National Academi (Girls) Licence for the 2025-26 season! \u2705<br><br>\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f Head of Women&#39;s and Girls&#39; Football, Mikey Loveridge: &quot;This recognition is testament to the outstanding work and dedication of everyone involved.&quot;<\/p>&mdash; Haverfordwest County AFC \ud83c\udff4\udb40\udc67\udb40\udc62\udb40\udc77\udb40\udc6c\udb40\udc73\udb40\udc7f (@HaverfordwestFC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HaverfordwestFC\/status\/1924540175146790943?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 19, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;The women&#8217;s team was to complete the pathway. With the development centre season we had U8s, U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s, now we&#8217;ve got U9s, U11s, U13s, U15s and the women&#8217;s team. It was important that we had a pathway for our young academy girls to have something to strive for. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;When I first came into the club, me and Beccy (Nuttall) sat down and we talked briefly about having a women&#8217;s team last season, but we spoke about not running before we could walk. We wanted to make our development centre really successful.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;We were one of only eleven teams in Wales that got given academi status for our girls, so we were really proud of that.
