Wrexham AFC are Genero Adran Premier champions for the first time after a 4-1 win against Cardiff City at the STōK Cae Ras with a game to spare in the season.
After beating Swansea City during the week, a win would mean the league title for Jenny Sugarman’s side in front of a crowd of 2918.
The most difficult opposition they could come up against in Cardiff City to achieve that, Wrexham had to come from behind to win the game. A powerful Mikayla Cook free-kick found the top right corner, giving The Bluebirds the advantage in North Wales.
Just before halftime, Wrexham had their equaliser. A mistake at the back from Ceryn Chamberlain allowed Katie Barker to bring the game level at halftime.
From that point onwards, Wrexham dominated. Barker scored her second three minutes into the second half, firing home from close range after a well-placed cut back from Faye Knox down the left byline.
Cardiff searched for a way back into the game, but found it difficult going forward in the second-half, and with ten minutes to go, the game was out of reach. Faye Knox struck a brilliant effort into the top left corner, before Katie Barker scored a penalty three minutes later, to wrap up the scoring for Wrexham.
The Bluebirds finished the game with ten players after a Shannon Evans red card. Cardiff City will now look ahead to their final home game against The New Saints, their final one with Iain Darbyshire in charge, before heading to Newport for that Bute Energy Welsh Cup Final against Swansea City.
Wrexham host Swansea City next week at The Rock, where they will get their hands on the Genero Adran Premier title.
Yzzy Taylor’s side were defeated at the Swansea.com Stadium on Sunday, after a positive display from visitors The New Saints, which saw the Oswestry-based side take home a 1-0 win.
Their first points of Phase Two, the deciding moment came in the 66th minute, as Lexie Harrison found the winning goal. It was also a first clean sheet for West Bromwich Albion loanee Orla Howard, in what has been a much-improved seven days from Kieran Lee-Birch’s side.
A key clash in the Genero Adran Premier Plate saw Barry Town United and Briton Ferry Llansawel play out a goalless draw at Jenner Park Stadium.
Ferry couldn’t find a way past Barry goalkeeper Molly Arnesen, but remain top of the Plate group ahead of the final day.
Aberystwyth Town beat bottom side Pontypridd United 4-1 at Park Avenue, with all four goals for The Seasiders coming in the first half.
Bethan Roberts, Amy Jenkins, Alaw Davies and Carys Bufton were all on the scoresheet for Rhys Jon James’ side. Nicole Fenton replied for Ponty in the second half, but it was Aber who claimed the three points.
CPDM Y Felinheli put four past 2nd place Llanfair United on the road, in a brilliant 4-1 win in the Genero Adran North.
They had to come from behind to do it. Emma Williams put Llanfair ahead midway through the first half in a day of difficult weather conditions for several teams in Cymru.
Felinheli equalised through Alaw Prys Huws, before scoring a second just before the hour mark to put the visitors ahead. An impressive month from Huws, who has scored three in her last two games.
Further goals from Catrin Evans and Jenna Tugwell-Allsup completed the win for CPDM Y Felinheli, who still have the chance of finishing 3rd on the final day of the season.
CPDM Bangor won their first game since September after a battling display away at Berriew, with the visitors securing a 2-1 win in Powys.
Holly Owen-Roberts put Bangor ahead ten minutes in, with the midfielder firing home a free-kick from the left. Just before half time, Milly Lowe scored from the edge of the area for her first CPDM Bangor goal since joining from Llangefni Town in January.
Berriew got a goal back through Catrin Hopkins late on, but Bangor would see out the game for an important three points in their season.
Just the one game in the Genero Adran South last weekend, as Penybont moved up to 3rd with a 3-1 away win at Pure Swansea.
Cerys Jones scored a second-half brace, before Mae Taylor also scored later on for Leon Williams’ side.
Annabel Stokes scored from the penalty spot for Pure Swansea, but it wouldn’t be enough to claim a point from the game.
CPD Pwllheli are North Wales Coast Llandudno Kia Women’s League Cup Champions, after a 4-2 win against NFA at Parc Meurig.
Lois Thomas and Jini Owen Hughes both scored braces in the game in the win. Loz Jones also scored a brace, but it was Pwllheli to lift the trophy.
Goytre AFC are now unbeaten in five league games after a 7-0 win against Pontarddulais Town in the SWWGL Combined.
A hattrick for Amy Doswell helped Goytre on their way in a dominant display, with Lauren Daniels scoring a brace.
Grace O’Reilly and Rhian Wilson also scored for Goytre, who remain in 4th.
Goytre were also victorious on Thursday night, in a 3-0 win against Llanbradach AFC away from home. Amy Doswell scored twice, with Seren McQueen Oliver also on the scoresheet.
Llanrumney United extend their lead at the top with a 5-0 win against Johnstown on Sunday, with five different goalscorers for Catherine Walsh’s side.
Pippa Smith gave Llanrumney the advantaged at the break, before further goals from Chanelle McIlroy, Charley Hocking, Jodie Newman and Rosina Hill rounded off the scoring for the visiting side.
The other game on Thursday night saw Johnstown claim a 3-2 win against Pontarddulais Town.
Evie Henshaw’s hattrick helped Llantwit Fardre go top of the league in Division One with a win against Barry Athletic at the weekend. There were also wins for Porth Harlequins BGC, Undy AFC, Coed Duon and Pontypridd AFC.
Thursday night saw wins for Tredegar Town AFC, Porth Harlequins BGC, Pontypridd AFC and Undy AFC.
Convincing wins for North Cardiff Cosmos Blue, AFC Llwydcoed and Llangynwyd Rangers kept the title race in Division Two alive, whilst Cwmbran Celtic Reserves also won to keep their name towards the top of the division.

There we also wins for Caerphilly Dragons and Sully Sports in Division Two on the weekend. Midweek saw Cwmbran Celtic Reserves, Goytre AFC Development and Treorchy BGC claim wins.
Division Three saw wins for Broadlands AFC, Canton and league leaders Graig Villa Dino, whilst Ponthir AFC and Taffs Well Development played out a 2-2 draw. Ponthir still have three games in hand on Graig Villa Dino, with a seven point gap between the two sides at the top.
Holton Road AFC played twice during the week. After losing to Taffs Well Development, they were victorious against Undy AFC Reserves two days later. Caerphilly Dragons Development and Taffs Well Development also found wins on Thursday.
Ffion Jones scored twice as Airbus UK Broughton beat Northop Hall 5-0 in the Central Wales North League, whilst Newtown AFC claimed their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory against Buckley Town after goals from Taylah Bean and Mya Bradley.
Llanidloes Town won a fifth league game in a row after a 6-1 win over Coedpoeth United, with Naomi Evans scoring a hattrick at KVM Park.
On Wednesday night, Berriew Development were 4-0 winners against Welshpool Town, with Ellie Davies, Lois McCarthy Humphreys, Manon Parry and Jessica Lawrence all scoring.
Llanfair United were crowned CWFA Cup champions for the second year in a row after a 3-0 win against Tregaron Turfs on Thursday night at KVM Park.
Tania Wylde scored a brace, whilst Sophie Cook was also on the scoresheet, as Lucie Gwilt’s side lift the trophy once again.
Haverfordwest County AFC are one win away from the Perago West Wales League Division One title, after a 8-1 win against Skewen.
The Bluebirds had to come from behind after Stephanie Cook put Skewen ahead from the penalty spot early on.
However, Haverfordwest showed their quality. League top scorer Kayla Jones scored a hattrick to take her tally up to 30, whilst there were braces for Ffion Kirk and Jasmine Thomas. Freya Marshall was also on the scoresheet, to put Haverfordwest County in touching distance of silveware in their first season as a senior side.
Mumbles Rangers dropped points on the leaders after a 1-0 defeat to Clydach, with Chelsea James scoring the winner. Talycopa were also victorious in a 6-2 win against Bonymaen Colts AFC.
On Wednesday night, Bonymaen Colts and Talycopa claimed convincing wins in Division One.
Division Two saw Resolven AFC beat Tumble United AFC 9-3, which saw Hermione Chammings score four goals for Resolven to take her tally up to 26.
There were three further games in midweek, as Rockspur, Penclawdd AFC Seconds and Pontarddulais Town Development secured wins.
Briton Ferry Llansawel U19s progressed to the semi-finals of the West Wales Challenge Cup after a 3-2 win against Llanelli Town AFC.
Isabelle Cullen scored the winner after scoring earlier on in the game, as Ferry join Swansea City U19s, Carmarthen Town and Pure Swansea in the last four.
In Pembrokeshire, Clarbeston Road AFC beat Kilgetty AFC to keep the pressure on St Dogmaels.
