Second-time lucky for the Genero Adran Trophy Semi-Final ties, as The New Saints, Cardiff City, Wrexham AFC and Briton Ferry Llansawel play their rescheduled games today, for a chance to reach the final and claim silverware.
The Genero Adran North continues, and we have a full matchday of action in the Genero Adran South. SWWGL, Central Wales League North and North Wales Coast League continue tier three action and beyond, whilst there’s also action in the Perago West Wales League’s.

Genero Adran Trophy
The New Saints vs Cardiff City

The New Saints will be looking to go all the way in the Genero Adran Trophy again in 2026, with Adran Premier champions Cardiff City in their way in Sunday’s semi-final.
After winning the competition last year, TNS will be looking to retain their title.
They’ve only lost once since November, and whilst they’ve dropped points in the league in recent games against Barry Town United, Swansea City and this weekend’s opponents Cardiff City, The Saints will be confident going against a Bluebirds side that they haven’t lost to this season.
Chantelle Teare scored a second half winner to secure a 1-0 win last time TNS faced Cardiff City at Park Hall. The Oswestry-based side were 3-1 up away from home in Novemeber against the Bluebirds, but late goals from Lily Billingham and Laura Curnock meant they had to head back up North with a point.
Cardiff City come into this game having beaten Briton Ferry Llansawel a few days ago in a 4-1 one, to take them back to the top of the Genero Adran Premier. They’ll be looking for a similar outcome at Park Hall on Sunday afternoon.
Iain Darbyshire’s side will be looking to put things right in the Genero Adran Trophy after losing to The New Saints in the quarter finals last season, with Olivia Buckland scoring the deciding goal for TNS that day in December 2024.
The Trophy holders TNS have beaten Llanfair United and Pontypridd United on their way to the last four, whilst Cardiff City overcame Flint Town United and South Wales rivals, Swansea City.

Briton Ferry Llansawel will be looking to reach the final of the Genero Adran Trophy this season, after coming agonisingly close in 2024/25, as they travel to Genero Adran Premier leaders Wrexham AFC.
Away at The New Saints last season, The Ferry were 2-0 up until the 82nd minute after goals from Maia Owen and Lucy Powell, and looking set for a Trophy Final against Swansea City.
However, an incredible comeback from TNS meant heartbreak for Briton Ferry, who missed out on the chance of silverware. They travel North once again, this time to face another challenging test against Wrexham AFC.
The Red Dragons will be looking to make a statement in the Genero Adran Trophy, a competition they are yet to reach the final of. With this competition being their earliest opportunity of winning silverware this season, it would be a statement of intent to go all the way.
Jenny Sugarman’s side survived a scare in the last round against Aberystwyth Town, with The Seasiders taking Wrexham all the way to penalties. Faye Knox scored the winning spot kick to book their spot in the semi-finals. Wrexham also beat Llandudno to reach this stage.
Briton Ferry Llansawel progressed past Cwmbran Celtic and Barry Town United to reach the last four. Rhys Thomas’ side have only faced Wrexham once this season, with one more matchup in Phase One of the league set for the end of January.
Ferry took an early 2-0 lead in that game through Jade Crofts and Megan Kearle back in September, but goals from Mariam Mahmood, Katie Barker, Nat Clark, Ava Suckley and Rosie Hughes cancelled out that early Ferry lead.
A chance for both sides to improve on last season’s Trophy finish, having both exited the competition at this stage last season.
Genero Adran North
Llanfair United vs Flint Town United (Live Commentary on Cymru Sport)

Our live commentary comes at Mount Field on Sunday, as 3rd place Llanfair United look to take the spot of the current side in 2nd place, Flint Town United.
This will be Llanfair’s first game of 2026, after their midweek fixture with Berriew was postponed. Lucie Gwilt’s side haven’t been in action since the end of November.
It was a convincing win for them that day. Llanfair put eight past CPDM Bangor, including a double for both Harriet Davies and Tania Wylde. Mary Bailey, Emma Williams and Millie Evans also scored, in an important win for Llanfair which ended an unwanted run of three games without a point.
Runners-up last season in the Genero Adran North, and they host a Flint Town United side looking to take that label this season. Oli Williams’ side are currently in that 2nd spot, with eight points from five matches.
However, they will be disappointed with their recent run of results. Defeat to tier three Wrexham Foresters in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup was followed by a loss to Connah’s Quay Nomads, and a 2-2 draw with CPDM Y Felinheli after being 2-0 up in the game.
This is a chance for Flint to respond, and what a better way it would be to do it than against the side looking to jump above them.
Having been drawn against eachother in the Genero Adran Trophy group stage, it is no surprise that this fixture was so closely-contested, where both sides kept hitting back in the game.
Signing from CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in the summer, Rebecca Eagles gave Flint the lead that day six minutes into the game, before Sioned Roberts equalised on her Llanfair debut.
Rosie Hughes put Flint back ahead at the start of the second half, but it would be a similar theme in the second 45, with Sophie Cook equalising for Llanfair United.
It would be Flint that would claim all three points that day, as Eagles scored a last minute winner in a 3-2 win. It was a depleted Llanfair squad that day with no subtitutes, and Flint have also had their own selection problems this season, which sets this up to be a vital game for both in the season.
