CUMMING INSPIRED COMEBACK KEEPS THEM TOP AS CAERSWS ENTER THE DANGERZONE.
Caersws went to the league leaders Colwyn Bay needing a victory after picking up just one point in six games and sitting just above the relegation zone, they took a shock lead four minutes before half time through Sam Phillips who scored via the penalty spot. The lead lasted seven minutes into the second half when Ethan Roberts cross was headed in by Craig Lingfield for his 19th league goal of the season. The Bluebirds goalkeeper Max Williams would keep his team in the match. Lingfield would hit the woodwork but eleven minutes from time Cumming headed on a free kick from Captain Sam Hart towards goal and Tommy Creamer with the last touch to put the home team in front. Five minutes later Cumming was fouled in the penalty area, he picked himself up to take the penalty and put the Seagulls 3-1 up. Colwyn Bay remain top but Caersws slip into the bottom three where they have two massive home games next, first next Saturday(15th) against Denbigh Town and then the following Saturday (22nd) versus Llay Welfare

Late drama at Cae Baker where Air Bus took the lead in the 85th minute where the 2 subs combined Oliver Lanceley flicked on header for James Davies to volley home. The Roosters went toe to toe with title chasers and equalized in the 90th minute when Dan Owen shot was saved by Air Bus goalkeeper Keighan Jones only for Kieran Booker. to slid in the rebound. Five minutes of added on time Air Bus striker Danny Warren scored his 19th league goal of the season, but the fun and games hadn’t finished there with the home side pressing for the equaliser they won a corner everyone up Air Bus won the ball Davies passed it to another sub Sam Baker to make it 3-1. In that phase of play Penrhyncoch goalkeeper Leigh Jenkins was sent off. Great use of subs by Air Bus manager Mark Allen for their 20th league win of the season. Air Bus are four points behind Colwyn Bay with a game in hand. It’s a big battle for the Cymru North title between both sides and its also in the Cup this Friday night (14th) where the two teams meet in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup Semi Final at the Four Crosses Construction Arena.

A massive and a must win game in the season for Ruthin Town ,they started well and scored twice within two minutes in the 18th and the 20th minute two goals with the same two players combining Sam Jones scoring with Llyr Morris assisting. Six minutes after half time the Welly struck when top scorer Jon Collo scoring his 8th league goal of the season two in two games. In the 64th minute Morris would restore his teams two goal advantage assisted by January signing Dan Holland. Llay had Morgan Thomas- Saddler sent off at the end. Time is running out for Llay 17 points away from safety with 18 available. They could be relegated on Tuesday night (11th) when they are away at Penrhyncoch. For Ruthin Town they go above Caersws but they have played two games more but they have brought Bangor 1876 into the battle for the bottom three.
Bangor 1876 0 Buckley Town 2
Bangor 1876 have been brought into the scrap for the places in the bottom three , for Buckley Town they would want to get their form back on track after their 5-0 home defeat to Denbigh Town last week especially with 4th place up for grabs. The away team took the lead midway through the first half when Connor Littler scored through a low finish. Three minutes into the second half a free kick from Buckley was deflected by Bangor 1876 Dion Jones to double their lead. The Stags are at home to Mold Alexandra next Saturday (15th) as they look for 4th place they have two games in hand over Llandudno. For Bangor they have a welcome distraction from their league form a semi- final home tie at the Bangor City Stadium in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup Northern Section next Saturday (15th) against Penrhyncoch.

It was 4th v 5th place battle on Friday night with two inform teams. Jordan Hadaway team were unbeaten in six and Flint Mountain who had manager Aden Shannon nominated for February’s manager of the month with three wins and three clean sheets. It was to prove a tight game with Callum Stephens header being the difference between the two sides scoring in the 63rd minute to keep his team in 4th in the league.
Denbigh Town 2 Prestatyn Town 1
Denbigh took the lead in the 11th minute when inform striker Owen Davies scored Sion Jones went forward played in Sam Duffy who put through Davies to score. Seven minutes before half time Denbigh gave ball away to Prestatyn Town Captain Alex Jones who squared the ball to Rob Parry who put the ball in the net with a tremendous strike. It took until the 75th minute for Denbigh to retake the lead when Davies scored his and his team second goal of the night when Alfie Vaughan broke away challenge came in and ball fell to Davies to smash it past Prestatyn goalkeeper Robbie Williams for his 13th league goal of the season and three in three games. But there would be late drama at Central Park when the Seasiders were awarded a penalty by referee Arthur Smallman in the 8th minute of added time when Jones brought down sub James Stead, he got up to take the penalty only for Elijah Beattie to save it. What a week for the keeper first clean sheet away at Buckley and a stoppage time penalty save. Like Llay, time is not on Prestatyn’s side 12 points away from safety with 12 points available to them and their next game is against league leaders Colwyn Bay at Bastion Gardens on the 21st March.
Guilsfield 4 Gresford Athletic 1
Gresford Athletic have leaped from the relegation zone up to 8th in the Cymru North with some impressive results under Eddie Maurice- Jones whose up for February Cymru North Manager of the Month. Nathan Leonard who was last season manager of the Guils was back at his old stamping ground is now the Colliers first team coach. The home team took the lead when a cross came in to the box and was cleverly back flicked into the net by Cameron Allen getting to the ball before Gresford’s keeper Lewis Dutton, but on the stroke of half time a cross that was flicked on for Dave Forbes to head in at the back post. The second half was different with Dutton making several good saves to keep his team level but Guilsfield’s long ball over the top exposed the Gresford defence too many times where the pace of James Smallwood was too much for the away team as he ran on to put Iwan Matthews to score at the back post. Five minutes later sub Daniel Tilsley set up Callum Bromley from just inside the box who unleashed an unstoppable third goal and just to complete the victory Man of the Match Smallwood ran on to a ball again over the defender put it past the oncoming Dutton. The win puts Guilsfield up to 8th and keeps up manager’s Gavin Allen record on been undefeated at Clos Mytton intact.

The drama would happen in the second half when Holywell’s goalkeeper Shaun Pearson after lengthy treatment and came off to be replaced Ilan AP Gareth Jones and defender Gareth Evans took the gloves and kept a clean sheet for their third win in a row ,and Mold Alexandra third defeat in a row. Holywell Town well clear in third place with a nine point gap to fourth.
